MEETING

1. Updates
– Uganda: New Treasurer, New PL selection

Working on cyclone design. Working on water distribution system.

Water and MFP teams meet in separate rooms. Possibly need to book 2 rooms or have the programs meet at separate times.
– India: Progress in Closing/Opening Program
– Ghana: Poop Video

2. Elad/Comet Presentation

-Met David Gibbs from Solar One.

- EWB professional chapter representatives were caught in traffic.

-Comet-ME builds wind turbines from scratch.

3. Earth Institute Meeting

-Alison was in attendance.

-Student leaders from on-campus sustainable organizations shared their current projects. Earth Institute representative would share related contacts.

4. Grant Writing Workshop – October 14th
– Progam plugs
– Sample grants compilation
– Room: Pupin 214
– TFA presentation?

- Remind everyone to bring their laptops.

5. Northeast Region Workshop
– Confirmed number of students?
– Non-refundable deposit
– Registration/Travel details

-When is the deposit deadline? October 17, $50 deposit due

6. Beyond Borders
– Grants/Budget
– EWB Programs’ Presentation! PM meeting this week to discuss.

-Plan for serving food: Family style at each table. 8-10 people per table

-Rice, 1 vegetarian, 1 meat dish, naan

-same food selection for every table

-How many people?

-Each team send a delegate on Sunday at 4 PM to the 5^th Floor of Lerner (East Side) in the couch area.

-Applied for President/Provost Fund and Gatsby Grant

-Still tracking down presenter.

7. Women’s Engineering Forum – October 17th, 3:45-4:30
– Who’s Presenting? One presenter from each team.
