1. Project Updates

A. Uganda’s First Meeting:

I. 40 in attendance

II. Very long meeting

III. Applications for PL and Treasurer due Oct. 2.

IV. Meetings from 5:40-6:40

B. Ghana

I. Meeting on Monday from 9:30-10:30 in Hamilton 406

II. Explained the latrine to the new people.

C. India

I. Talked to the leader of the student group that they are working with.

II. This week we will look over the data they sent us.

III. Boeing Grant: India is looking for an extension on the grant.

D. Will any team be traveling over winter break?

I. Ghana would like to, but it is unlikely.

II. Uganda would like to travel more frequently.

III. Columbia wants 3 months advance notice.

2. Grant Writing Workshop

I. What do we need?

A. Each group needs to pick out SHORT grant applications!

II. Location: Lerner 501 will be too small. Book Hamilton 716, or 602 (one of the big rooms) so that EVERYONE can come!

3. Semesterly Newsletter

I. Interviews with EWB mentors

A. Interview all three, or just one?

B. Suggestion: Interview Teams’ Professional Advisors

II. Have “Where we’re headed” in addition to what we’ve done

I. EWB Professional Chapter was worried that this event might have a more political angle, but they are willing to come to the event on campus instead of having two separate events.

6. Beyond Borders

I. had a meeting this week

A. Went over picture setting. Angela is thinking about what to do with such a big space.

II. Possibly a dance group/musical performance at the end.

7. EWB Regional Workshop

I. We can only afford to send 10, max. Howabout 6. 2 from each program. Find out interest.

II. Date: November 5, 6, 7

III. Hotel is $120/night.
